Planter design, lightweight soil, shade and a simple irrigation loop.
Challenge
A bare roof with two drainage points, strict load limits and wind that flattened previous potted attempts.
Design
Perimeter planters in three depths, a timber-look deck zone kept clear of services, and species chosen for heat and low litter so downstairs neighbours stay on side.
Result
A usable evening terrace for the building, with a maintenance visit every two weeks written into the association budget.
