Gulshan Courtyard Residence
Garden development, tree placement, irrigation and night lighting.
Challenge
A deep urban plot with neighbouring walls, little existing soil and a family that wanted shade without losing the lawn they use every evening.
Design
A central lawn held by two shade trees, a fern and shrub understorey along the walls, and a narrow water-efficient bed on the west side. Paths stay to one side so the garden reads as one room.
Result
Evening use returned to the garden within a month of planting. Irrigation cut manual watering to a twice-weekly check.
